Ultrasound Pictures

Well, we got to see our little munchkin today! Stubborn little one for sure;-) I must have like the biggest pelvis know to women. Again, just like with Ty, they had to tip the bed fully down so my head was upside down. Hoping that "he" (we'll call it "he") would come out long enough to get good measurements and pics. Thankfully we didn't want to know what sex, because she said "he" wasn't going to show us! I even had to get up and touch my toes, jump up and down, swish around...all to see if it would move "him".

Yes, it worked, and "he" ended up upside down. I don't think I have ever seen an ultrasound where the baby is upside down. The baby is really active, and we got to see "him" stretch "his" super long legs fully out. Bob and I both said that we didn't think we could ever get tired of seeing a baby in an ultrasound. There is just something so miraculous about it! It was quite nice to know what everything was when she was telling us. We did get tripped up on the kidneys though :-) The kids were super excited to see the baby. Gabriel of all the kids, was going around the house all day saying "we get to see the baby today!" in his sing song voice. Very cute!

The upside down pic. Nice picture of the spine.
Facial picture. (A little creepy, I know)
The best profile picture that we have ever gotten! Photogenic already ;-)
I'm thinking it's like an apartment in New York in there. What do you think? High dollar real estate, super small studio apartment...everything is at your fingertips!

Bob "knows" it's a boy. I think that too. I guess we will see soon enough! Thanks for all your prayers. We won't find out the results until Tuesday at my regular check-up. I'll keep you posted.

My Ultrasound is Tomorrow!

Hi Everyone! So, I'm writing so that you all will pray for a healthy baby tomorrow at our ultrasound. It's at 4:45pm and thankfully you no longer have to drink a ton of water before you go! Now I am able to enjoy the pics of the precious baby, instead of wondering where the closest bathroom is! Sorry to much info I know, but you don't understand until you've had to experience it. LOL

On a more serious note:
-Please pray for the health of the baby

-that my placenta is in the right place (not blocking the "exit")
-and that we won't be able to see what the sex is. (with Addie, I felt like I couldn't really look at the monitor when they were checking everything out, because I was afraid that I would see what the sex was, when we didn't want to know. Once you've had four ultrasounds, you become pretty good at detecting what everything is!)
Thanks for your prayers. We'll post the pics when we get them! Heather

Rock & Worship Roadshow!!!

Sunday afternoon we arrived to stand in line for the Rock & Worship Roadshow at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland. This is what we saw when we got there! The doors opened at 4:30pm, and we luckily arrived at 2:40pm to wait in this lovely line:-) It seemed like once we got there the flood gates opened and the line grew, and grew, until it wrapped around down past the Rose Garden. I didn't get a pic of it, but I was amazed at how many people showed up!
It was general admission, so it was $10 for any seat. The catch is you have to wait in line to get your seat! We went down to Vancouver the afternoon before, and won 2 tickets to it from 104.1 the FISH radio station. But, we still had to wait in line...(Bob's in the first row there, in the red hat, and blue sweatshirt, with the white strip on the sleeve. A girl in pink is right behind him at the edge of the picture.)
This is the start of the show. Addison Road is playing, while everyone continued filing in. The concert sold out, so they had to pull the black curtain down from behind the stage for more seating! They played 3 songs (which was a bummer, because they're really good!) The lead singer was 5 weeks away from her due date. She was bouncing around like she wasn't pregnant. Pretty impressive:-) 10th Avenue North played right after their set, and were fantastic too.
This is Hawk Nelson. Not so much our style, but the young girls loved them! You could hear them screaming, that's when I realized "I'm getting Old"...
Jeremy Camp was great! He played for about 45minutes, and we feel he could have gone on and on and on! His is a really soulful guy. Loves Jesus, and it passionate about getting the Word out. It was awesome.
Mercy Me, was the "big" guns! They did awesome too. It was so great to sing praise to our Heavenly Father, and know that 11,000 people were there for the exact same reason! They did a lot of sing along type songs, and it gives you goose bumps hearing the name of our Lord and Savior uplifted for Him to hear from so many voices! It's really powerful.
The drummer, and keyboard player...
Here is Jeremy Camp signing autographs. Bob got his St. Louis hat signed, and I got his CD signed. Neat to meet him in person! I think Bob really liked meeting him a lot. I got to high five him (dorky I know, but he asked me for one, it wasn't my idea!)

Next Week's Menu

Hello Again :}

It took me an hour this afternoon to plan and write out my grocery list for this next week (the kids were making a disaster of the kitchen floor with playdoh, but it gave me the time to "plan").

I have found that by planning my menu's I actually save a lot of money. My grocery list always looks awfully long, but I seem to spend less then I would by "flying by the seat of my pants!" We are huge snackers at our house, so it is hard to not have tons of snacks awaiting our hungry hands, but that's where it starts to get spendy! This way, it allows us to actually have a good dinner almost every evening, and possibly get healthier in the process.

Monday

Breakfast-Eggs w/ Toast (maybe bacon if I'm in the mood to actually cook!)
Lunch-Hot Dogs & Apples
Dinner- *Chipotle Pork Quesadillas

Tuesday

Our Saint Patty's Day

Well, I hope you all had a great green Saint Patrick's Day! We started our morning off with a mint green brownie cookie. It was so good! The kids enjoyed eating dessert first thing in the morning, instead of their usual "boring" breakfast:-)

Our big giant mint cookie...Yummy
Addie's new favorite facial expression...I think she ended up with the frosting in her nose!

Master Cleaning List

I got all my Saturday chores done, so I'm taking the time to write out my new master cleaning list. I'm hoping that by doing this, it will keep me accountable for actually sticking to this list. I started this yesterday, and hope that I will be able to accomplish these things as listed, along with all of my daily chores, cooking, and homeschooling, etc!

Weekly Master Cleaning List

Monday- 6 loads of laundry, mop floors.

Tuesday- 4 loads of laundry, clean the whole kitchen (microwave, walls, stove, fridge, pantry)

Wednesday- 3 loads of laundry, deep clean both bathrooms, get car cleaned out, and vacuumed (while I'm in town for my crazy day)

Thursday- 4 loads of laundry, bedroom cleaning day ***kids clean theirs, I clean mine***, mop floors.

Friday- 5 loads of laundry, deep clean living room (vacuum under couch cushins, sweep under couch, dust, wash walls) mop floors.

Saturday- Clean all windows and mirrors in house, strip everyone's beds and wash sheets, wash Bob's work clothes.

I'll continue to compile my lists of daily chores, meal planning, etc. when I get a chance. They will get posted when I have more free time:) Maybe if there are messy's out there like me, this will help you get your home under control too! I have for too long been a messy, and now with the amount of kids and daily chaos, I have been forced to try to be a cleany! Pray for ME!!!

The Best Window Cleaner

So, this morning I have my list of chores to do. The first is to clean all mirrors, and windows. The problem was that I had run out of Windex! I have been putting this chore off for a few weeks (gross I know). I kept forgetting to buy it at the store, these days food is more important to me:-)

Anyways, I decided to look up a natural cleaning solution. I then found a recipe for water, vinegar, and dish soap. I looked in my cupboards, and yes, I had all of those. Well I guess I just looked for the vinegar, the others you obviously don't find in the cupboard! I had the exact amount of vinegar to make this recipe (let's hope I can remember to buy the vinegar next time I'm at the store!) This recipe for window cleaner is a bit different. Most of you probably already use this, and I'm the one behind on this one, but for those of us who have always used the "toxic" stuff this recipe works great. I put a pump of my foam dish soap in the spray bottle to cut the film that the Windex left from all the other window cleanings. It worked great! It's twice as fast to clean em, because you can wipe, then let it dry by itself. I came back to the windows hoping tt the watery look would disappear without a trace of streaks, and it did. They are now all sparkling clean. Such a good feeling, wouldn't you say???

Here is the recipe:

1/4 cup of vinegar
2 cups of water
One pump of foam dish soap (you could probably use one pump of regular, but I don't know how it will turn out, so don't get mad if it doesn't work!)

The best benefit besides being a lot healthier for you, is that it costs like $.25 to make it, instead of the $3.99 the bottle of cleaner costs! Win win in either case if you ask me:-)
